How we came together
SafeSites360 began when three distinct areas of expertise converged around a shared problem: traditional workplace training just wasn't working.
Our founding team came from different backgrounds - 3D digital twin technology, professional media production, and health & safety consultancy. We'd all independently struggled with the same issues: site visits that required extensive coordination, training documentation that was more tick-box than meaningful, and onboarding processes that left new starters anxious rather than prepared.
The breakthrough came from a simple question: what if workers could explore and learn about their actual workplace before they even arrived? What if training could be built from the real facility, not generic stock imagery?
We combined professional Lidar scanning capabilities, creative storytelling expertise, and regulatory compliance knowledge to answer that question. The result is SafeSites360 - a platform that turns real workplaces into interactive training experiences.
From concept to reality
The early challenge wasn't just technical - it was finding the right balance. How do you make 3D technology immersive and engaging, whilst ensuring it actually trains people effectively? How do you build a comprehensive admin system that makes compliance and auditing genuinely simple, not just another layer of complexity?
Our first pilot project with Specialist Glass Products gave us the answer. We scanned their facility, built interactive training modules, and watched the response. The feedback validated what we'd suspected: when training reflects the actual workplace, engagement transforms.
That project led to our first official partnership with West Yorkshire Manufacturing Services (WYMS), who now promote SafeSites360 to their manufacturing group. It showed us we were onto something that could genuinely change how companies approach workplace training.
What we do today
We create 3D digital replicas of real workplaces - manufacturing facilities, construction sites, corporate offices, retail locations - and transform them into interactive training experiences.
Using professional Lidar scanning, we capture millimetre-accurate models of actual facilities. Then we build interactive training modules within these environments - site orientations, health & safety procedures, equipment operation, emergency protocols.
The result: workers can explore and learn about their actual workplace before they arrive, from any device with a web browser. No downloads, no VR headsets, no complexity.
